Full-time Senior Sales Engineer

Role and Responsibilities

  • Senior Sales engineers help sell our Information technology services  & products to different clients and prospects. They must have extensive knowledge of Oil & Energy industry and must understand the scientific processes that make these services &  products work.
  • Act as the Senior Sales Engineer for Oil & Energy Clients and Prospects
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations explaining eJAmerica products and eJAmerica services to existing and prospective customers
  • Talk with eJAmerica customers and engineers to assess requirement needs and to document system requirements
  • Collaborate with sales teams & engineers to understand customer requirements and provide sales support. Document solutions in the form of Excel & PowerPoint as applicable.
  • Secure and renew orders. Plan and arrange delivery. Help delivery team to understand the requirements discussed during the sales cycle.
  • Plan and modify products to meet customer needs
  • Help clients solve problems with installed equipment
  • Recommend improved materials or machinery to customers, showing how changes will lower costs or increase production
  • Help in researching and developing new products

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Education: Master’s Degree OR Combination of Experience & Education. Bachelors Degree is required.

Interpersonal skills: Strong interpersonal skills are a valuable characteristic for senior sales engineers, both for building relationships with clients and effectively communicating with other members of the team.

Problem-solving skills: Must be able to listen to the customer’s desires and concerns, and then recommend solutions, such as customizing services &  products for the customer.

Self-confidence: Should be confident and persuasive when making sales presentations.

Technological skills: Sales engineers must have extensive knowledge of the technologically sophisticated products they sell in order to explain their advantages and answer questions.

Preferred Skills

Background in energy efficiency solutions in various sectors including Water, Oil/ Petroleum, Solar etc. Vessel energy efficiency software and Advanced Vessel performance Data Analytics solutions.

Additional Notes

In addition to giving technical presentations, senior sales engineers perform market research and help in marketing activities including event participation. They also may ask for technical requirements from customers/ market and modify and adjust products & services to meet customers’ specific needs. Senior sales engineers work with research and development departments to help identify and develop new services & products.

Preferred Skills
