Linux Admin Job Description
· Expert-level knowledge of various Linux technologies such as Redhat/Centos/SUSE.
· Excellent working knowledge in LINUX Installation, Configuration and upgradation administration on UNIX environments. Installing and configuring RHEL server in Virtual and Physical platform
· Knowledge and expertise of OS clustering, partitioning and virtualization. Hands-On experience in Troubleshooting Linux Kernel, PXE boot & User management issues
· Demonstrated Experience in handling day-to-day UNIX-LINUX operating system installation, migration and break-fix support.
· Should be having good knowledge of SAN/NAS topologies, Fibre Channel, Multipathing.
· Familiarity with Cisco UCS, failover scenarios, load balanced environment knowledge.
· Hands on experience in Root Cause Analysis and Break Fixes
· Networking, HA solutions (Veritas Cluster Solution), and Scripting (Shell and Python), Web services administration.
· Knowledge about server builds and orchestration with Vmware/Nutanix.
· Required knowledge in the area of Database, Build environments (Ant, Maven), DevOPs and automation, Server H/W and Storage
· Ability to examine error logs, system performance data, and user information to ensure a high level of usability and reliability
· Implement Clustering mechanism to reduce the administrative tasks.
· Work on Client-Server architecture for one-to-one and one to many connections.
· Good knowledge of Ticketing Tools like Service Now, Remedy etc.
· Ability to work well with customers vendors and in a cross-team environment and to mentor within teams.
· Strong understanding of ITIL practices.
· Excellent communication skills.
· Preferred RHEL-7 certification
· Overall 5-10 years of experience in Linux Administration
· Open to 24*7 Support on a rotational basis.
